4:15 PM - 5:15 PM    Kids' Test Kitchen - Kids' Test Kitchen
On a mission to get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients!  We are redefining kid food! Each class presents students with opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned! Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids’ Test Kitchen, where participation is encouraged, and the choice to taste is always one’s own.

Each session is thoughtfully crafted to spark creativity and encourage self-expression, all within a fun and supportive environment. Drawing & Sculpting: Kids will learn essential techniques as they draw and sculpt an animal from a plaster model. This hands-on experience will help them gain a deeper understanding of proportions, form, and movement, building strong foundational skills in both art and observation. Painting: In this session, students will paint still-life scenes in acrylics on canvas, using everyday objects like pots, cups, fruits, and chess pieces as their reference. Still life is a wonderful and accessible way to learn about the forms and relationships of objects, especially since they remain still, allowing children to observe closely. As they work, students will focus on mixing and creating their own colors, exploring how to bring their compositions to life. This exercise will deepen their understanding of color theory while helping them develop their own unique artistic style. For the final project of the session, students will create their own mobile sculptures, inspired by the work of American artist Alexander Calder. Known for suspending his three-dimensional pieces from the ceiling, Calder allowed his mobiles to float freely in space, creating dynamic and ever-changing forms. In this project, children will experiment with movement, balance, and design, crafting their own mobiles that come to life through air and motion. Every project is age-appropriate, giving children the freedom to experiment with various materials and techniques while developing their own unique artistic style. With all materials included, your child can fully immerse themselves in the creative process and build confidence in their artistic skills.Enroll today and give your child the chance to grow, learn, and thrive as they discover the joy of creating art!

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM    Children's Social Skills  Workshop  - Children’s Social Skills Workshop
Children are the leaders of tomorrow. Present them with the opportunity to feel self-reliantand confident in any social situation by taking interactive lessons taught by a certified etiquette consultant. Our workshop is designed to empower them with life skills that propel them towards personal and professional success. These skills will help them succeed at school, socially, and later, professionally and can create an appealing differentiator that sets them apart. Our lessons aim to instill social consideration and mutual respect as we believe that when children are taught these basic social skills in their early years, they tend to become more socially responsible as they grow up. To survive the rising social pressure, children must be trained in a way to feel confident and comfortable around people and to find their place in the world. For more information visit www.newenglandschoolofprotocol.com
