1:30 PM - 3:00 PM    Belmont Teen Committee Mentor 2026-2027 School Year - Belmont Teen Committee Mentor
The Belmont Teen Committee Mentor program is open to all 9th - 12th graders looking for an opportunity to develop leadership skills while serving the youth of Belmont. Mentors will work directly with Teen Committee members at meetings as they plan and execute monthly events. In addition to hands on mentoring, participants will participate in quarterly field trips/special activities that develop leadership skills, team building, and are fun! Mentor time qualifies as volunteer hours for BHS graduation requirement. Mentors are expected to be at BTC meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 1:30pm - 3:00pm in BMS classroom F362.Our first meeting for the 2026/2027 school year will be on September 9th,  2026.

The Belmont Teen Committee (BTC) is a program designed to provide 6th-8th graders an opportunity to lead, plan and serve the Belmont youth through a variety of fun activities.  The goal is to let YOU, the participant, lead while the Belmont Recreation Staff provide scaffolding to support. All are welcome to join as long as they are respectful, kind and honest. The BTC is made up of 3 sub committees: Fund Raising/Marketing, Programming, and Volunteer. You can learn more about each committee by checking out this Google Slideshow.The BTC meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 2:00 pm - 3:00pm in BMS classroom F362.Our first meeting for the 2026-2027 school year is September, 9th. During these meetings there will be time for committees to work on their separate focuses/goals and then report back to the larger group for voting and further discussion. Belmont Recreation Staff will supervise and counsel.
