Pool
Private Swim Lessons are available to both children and adults.

An Underwood Pool Membership is required in order to register.

Private Lessons are available only in sessions of four (4) 30-Minute sessions.

Belmont recreation will assign students to instructors in the order in which people registered. After assignment, an instructor will reach out to within 5 days. Assignments occur on an ongoing basis based on lifeguard/WSI availability and demand.

After you complete your 4 lessons, if you wish to continue, you will go to the back of the line. You cannot simply extend your lessons with an instructor immediately following your 4 lessons unless there is no waitlist.

Upon the completion of your 4 swim lessons, both the lifeguard and student will sign an agreement stating the lessons have been fulfilled

It is highly recommended that the 4 lessons be completed within 2 weeks of the agreed upon schedule.

If a student is late or misses the lesson without communication, the student is still charged for the lesson.

Tipping is NOT allowed. Money should not be exchanged with the instructor under any circumstances

Lessons must take place during public swim hours when the instructor is not scheduled to work and will be run by a WSI (Water Safety Instructor) or a Lifeguard.

Groups for group lessons are not arranged by the Recreation Department and Swimmers in semi private lessons must be at the same ability.

Private Swim Lessons MUST be used in the 2023 summer season. Refunds will not be given for swim lessons that are not taken by the end of the summer. Lessons paid for in the summer of 2023 will not be credited towards future summers.
