Create your own Fantasy creatures 
For teens


Description:

Through playful exploration in a relaxed learning environment we will learn how to dive into our deep imagination with the help of our hands forming clay. We will try to approach it in a meditative manner. Meaning, don’t think, see what is happening with the clay in your hands and where the form leads us too.
Through this technique we will organically develope the eye to get a sense
3D seeing and thinking. As soon as the clay is air dried we will get to know how to work with gouache paint to let our little created friends become alive. Learning color combination, Layering of color and pattern to support the gesture of the sculpure

Half-semester class

About Lea Baecksteiner

Lea is an artist and illustrator with a Masters in Fine Arts and Illustration from the Neue Kunst Schule in? Basel, Switzerland.  Her range of artistic media includes oil, gouache, watercolor, ink and digital painting.   In addition to her work as a fine artist, Lea provides illustrations for? books, magazines and printed matter.  Her style has been described as being playful, minimalist and well-proportioned.  An accomplished artist, Lea has exhibited in New York City, Basel and Boston.  ?Originally from Switzerland, she now lives and works in the greater Boston area.
